I’ve only been working with WMI filters in the last year (Late developer..) but they are brilliant when they work. I’m not great with WMI queries and spent as much time amending the query to work as a filter as I did writing it in the first place. That was until I found WMITest by “The GPO Guy”, his website is imminence.
The tool (found under the free tools menu) reads in your WMI filters stored in AD and then gives you the option to validate them against a machine. Its a simple trick, but saved me so much time.
